Financial scholarships are awarded annually to Babylon Township high school seniors going on to college who have had a parent or legal guardian with a personal breast cancer history.
Scholarship candidates must write an essay describing how breast cancer has affected their life and must have plans to attend college or an accredited vocational school immediately after high school graduation.
Past BBCC Scholarship Winners
The Babylon Breast Cancer Coalition is pleased to once again offer scholarships to graduating high school seniors residing in Babylon Township. The awards are given to seniors who've had a parent or guardian with breast cancer. Each applicant must write an essay detailing how the cancer experience impacted his/her life and each recipient must have plans to pursue further education immediately after graduation. A scholarship committee comprised of various BBCC board members selects the winners. Since 2004, the BBCC has awarded $65,000 to graduating seniors.
